About your Rights and your Data

Dear Reader,

I am happy about the GDPR! It means more personal rights for everyone and that is a good thing in this digital time and age. So, I am happy to apply to the GDPR on my blog as well!

So, I am happy to inform you that I am using Google Analytics to keep track of how many readers I have. Google Analytics registers the IP-address of your device and then generates data for me, like location, country, yes, even gender, interests etc.

I myself have no access to your IP-address. So, the data that is generated is anonymous to me. One exception: you leave a comment. Then, I get to see your IP-address and time and date of the comment. I then get to approve or disapprove of the comment.

If you have any questions concerning your data, I am happy to answer. If you want me to erase your IP-address (and as such, your comment), I am happy to do so. I will also notify the data protection officer in case of a safety breach.

So, happy reading! Enjoy your new rights!
